Penguins Game Day

When: Oct. 13, 2011 - 7:00 pm | Where: CONSOL Energy Center
TV: ROOT SPORTS | Radio: 105.9 FM

Pens host the Crapitals tonight at 7:08pm, this is a big game early on in the season. The Pens will have Evgeni Malkin back in the lineup tonight but will be without Marc-Andre Fleury as he is out with a sickness. Tonight is a special night as the team will be paying tribute to those lost on September 7th in the plane crash involving the KHL team Lokomotiv. It was brought to our attention today that the Penguins have not beat the Capitals at home during the regular season in regulation time since February 2007. If you wish to purchase one of the wristbands they are selling at the game tonight you can go here, site is legit they use PayPal so if you are a worry wort they have your back.

Pens Re-Sign Chris Kuntiz

by: The PensNation Staff

GM Ray Shero and the Piitsburgh Penguins locked up forward Chris Kunitz to a two year extension today, and we see this as a good move. He may not be the best forward in the lineup but he puts it all on the line night in and night out to help his team win. Kunitz came over with Eric Tangradi in February 2009 from Anaheim in exchange for then relevant defenseman Ryan Whitney. The verdict is still out on Tangradi but every day this deal looks like highway robbery on the part of Shero. The deal is for the same money as his current deal with the Pens so there will be no change in his cap number.

Crosby Has Been Cleared for Contact

by: The PensNation Staff

Whoever thought this day would come, especially this early in the season Sidney Crosby has been cleared for contact in practice today. Alost of people coming in thought there would be no chance of seeing Sid on the ice in 2011 again, but today he made a step closer to returning to the ice. Now don't get too excited because he is still at the very least 2 weeks away from make an appearance in a game, we wouldn't be surprised if they waited until mid to late November to put him in a game.

Let's Go Pens!
