The Pens have enlisted a new mascot named Charlie Daniels for this weekends game against the Devils and he has done a song to the tune of "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by Charlie Daniels Band which will be played outside Mellon Arena beginning 24 hours prior to the drop of the puck on Saturday.

So Crosby's DVD came out today and apparently Giant Eagle doesn't know that Sid plays for the NHL and not the NFL. I found this over at TPB and thought I would share this with everyone.
I've heard about this video for the past couple weeks now but i could never seem to find it until today when I was clicking through some videos on youtube. Your going to have to check it out for yourself because there is no way you will believe me if I just told what is said.
The puck drops between the Pens and Sens today at 2:30pm to start the 2008-2009 NHL Season. Mats Sundin will be taking part in the ceremonial puck drop.
The final preseason roster move was made today sending Finnish foward Janne Pesonen to the Pens AHL affiliate Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and keeping burgh native Bill Thomas on the NHL roster. Pesonen will remain in Stockholm with the Pens for the weekend before reporting to the Baby Pens.
