This Stings Just A Little Bit

by: The PensNation Staff

According the ESPN Gonchar's shoulder injury is worse than originally said to be by the Penguins. ESPN.com states that he could miss 4-6 months after he has surgery to correct the dislocated left shoulder that he suffered in the first period of the first preseason game. I guess this was worse than we thought.

Sid's New Linemates

by: The PensNation Staff

Word on the street is that Crosby may center a line with Satan and Fedotenko, will this be what we see when the Pens take the ice against the Senators come Saturday. They seemed to play well together in camp as well as the preseason game against the Leafs on Friday night.

Where will he be

by: The PensNation Staff

The question I have and some others may have is where will Janne Pesonen come the start of the regular season. He has had a good preseason and training camp and I believe he has a legitimate shot at making the team and not being sent to the Baby Pens. Here is a video of Pesonen's goal against the Maple Leafs the other night.

Malkin to Replace Gonchar

by: The PensNation Staff

It is being reported on triblive.com that Evgeni Malkin will replace Sergei Gonchar as the point on the powerplay unit. Didn't Geno say last year that he didn't like the defensive aspect of the point position in the powerplay.
