Sidney Crosby out of All Star Lineup

According to reports from the Trib and the NHL Penguins center Sidney Crosby will not be playing in the All Star game in Montreal this coming Sunday. It has been noted recently that he may sit this one out because of the knee injury he sustained during the end of the game against the Capitals last week. This will be the second year in a row that he has missed the NHL All Star game due to injury, if you remember last year he had the high ankle sprain that kept him sidelined for nearly 2 months. I'm assuming that this is all precautionary not to aggravate the injury any further so Sid will be able to continue on this season.

¢â‚¬Å“It¢â‚¬â„¢s an unfortunate situation,¢â‚¬ Crosby said. ¢â‚¬Å“It¢â‚¬â„¢s going to be a real special event. I would have loved to be a part of it but it¢â‚¬â„¢s something I have to deal with and I believe I made the right decision.¢â‚¬
