Defense, What’s Defense?

East VS West
12   11

The All Star game festivities came to a close last night as they culminated with the game itself. The Eastern Conference All Stars prevailed in a shootout by a final score of 12-11. Montreal Candien star and former Pittsburgh Penguin Alexei Kovalev was named the games MVP. Current Penguin Evgeni Malkin had a beautiful between the legs goal in the 2nd period to give the east the 6-4 lead but that wouldn't last because King Suckqvist would let in 6 goals in the period to let the Western Conference All Stars climb back into the game. Boston goaltender Tim Thomas came in to close out the game in the 3rd and he shut it down making some great saves.

Geno's Goal.

Great save by Tim Thomas on Iginla.
