Jaromir Jagr

There is a report on THN.com that former Penguin All-Star Jaromir Jagr would consider coming back and playing for the Penguins if the guy he looked up to Mario Lemieux picked up the phone and gave him a call.

I was thinking about it and if Mario would call me and say, ¢â‚¬ËœI¢â‚¬â„¢d like you to play for our team,¢â‚¬â„¢ I would think about it a lot,¢â‚¬ Jagr said in a telephone interview from Moscow where the Kontinental League will hold its inaugural All-Star Game outdoors at Red Square Saturday. ¢â‚¬Å“I would play for the minimum salary. I would play for $350,000 just for him because I owe him my hockey life. I want to pay him back because he has made me what I am¢â‚¬¦besides my parents.

This being said Jagr is under contract with Avangard Omsk until after the 2009-2010 season which would make any return to the NHL come past his 38th birthday, but there has been word swirling around that he has the option to come back to the NHL after this season.
