The Eastern Conference playoff picture has been finalized with the Rangers winning against the Devils yesterday afternoon and the Hurricanes losing to the Lightning last night.

The Flyers bounced back last night against the Islanders with a 7-4 drubbing and claimed the Atlantic division crown and the 2nd seed in the playoffs.

THe Blackhawks are the last team yet to clinch a playoff spot, they will have the chance today with a win or overtime loss to the Red Wings, the can also clinch if Dallas loses to the Wild later tonight.

The tie-breaker scenario is pretty crazy in the west right now, with a win the Blackhawks can jump all the way to a 5th seed but can also land anywhere between there and 9th place depending how the day plays out.

How did Bylsma's tough love turn Fleury's season around?

The Penguins will open the Stanely Cup Playoffs against the Tampa Bay Lightning this week, which will begin on Wednesday or Thursday. The Pittsburgh Power have also agreed to move home games to accomodate the Penguins.

Much like last weeks campaign for "Fleury for MVP" the Penguins have started a "Bylsma for Coach of the Year" campaign.

The Ottawa Senators having parted ways with their coaching staff ending the Cory Clouston era in Ottawa.

Mum is still the word on Penguins forward James Neal, as the Penguins have not released any updates on the injury sustained during Friday's game.

If Penguins Kris Letang and Max Talbot play today they will have played in all 82 games this season.
