Around the Boards

There have been very few grumblings coming out of the Penguins organization since they were ousted in 7 games by the Tampa Bay Lightining, but things have started to pick up with the start of free agency only a month away. There was word that talks had opened up with Adams, Rupp, and Dupes early this week then it sounded as if things went south with Adams.

Pens GM Ray Shero made it known yesterday that Alexei Kovalev and Mike Comrie will not be back next season and that Adams wanted a raise over the $550,000 he made this past season.

Wednesday May 25th was the 20th anniversary of the Penguins first Stanley Cup.

Sidney Crosby in in town to have his head examined, so that he can be cleared for off season conditioning.

Boston is not the only city pleased with the Bruins 1-0 victory over the Lightning last night, the Toronto Maple Leafs 2nd round pick will now improve with the Bruins moving onto the SCF.

Gary Bettman is refuting all reports that the Thrashers move to Winnipeg is a done deal.
