Game was pretty boring to start out we really weren't all that into it, but it had to be played. Mike Comrie came to play today getting some good quality chances on net, but the Pens were unable to convert any chances in the first. The Thrashers were able to go up 1-0 early on in the game when Godard took a hooking penalty followed by a slashing penalty on Max Talbot giving Atlanta ample time on a 5-on-3 power play which Andrew Ladd was able to convert.

The Pens came out a little slow but were able to bounce back when Kennedy buried one on a power play, which was then followed buy an onslaught of goals from Dupuis, Rupp, and Letestu. There were some questionable no-calls to go along with the 4 goals by the Pens, Evander Kane laid a very questionable hit on Kris Letang that was not called and Michalek tripped up one of the Thrashers on a breakaway that was not called.

The third period was pretty blah it was one of those ones you wish you could just fast forward through to get to the post season. The Thrashers were able to get a second power play goal late in the third after Arron Asham was caught tripping up a player. The highlight of the night came when Penguins forward Mike Comrie scored his first goal as a Penguins albeit an empty netter it was still nice to see him get the goal after everything that happened this season.

The playoff schedules are being released tonight via the NHL network @ 10pm.
